Chinese Lacquered Folding Screen with Medallions and Gilded Panels

A grand and richly decorated six-panel Chinese folding screen, lacquered in black and detailed with vibrant painted medallions and fine gold motifs. Each panel features two round central medallions. The upper depicting birds among flowers, and the lower showing traditional still-life objects including vases, scrolls, and peaches. The background is a turquoise-blue patterned field, framed in ornate golden borders with motifs of bats, gourds, and floral scrollwork. The lower portion of each panel contains finely etched gold imagery of birds and flora. The reverse side is finished in black lacquer and decorated with small, repeating gold medallions in floral and geometric patterns. Hinged to fold or stand freely.
