Republic period lacquer with hardstone inlay

A fine set of four Chinese lacquer wall panels, each decorated with applied hardstone and composition inlay depicting auspicious motifs. The scenes feature vases filled with flowers such as plum blossom, lotus, and chrysanthemum, alongside scholar’s objects including censers, brush pots, scrolls, peaches, and fruits. The backgrounds are finished in a dark lacquer with gold geometric latticework and deliberate crackle effect, framed in original hardwood surrounds with metal hanging fittings.
